Experience

Katie is an Associate Solicitor and has nearly 20 years of experience specialising in family law and difficult disputes concerning children and domestic abuse. Katie assists Mothers, Fathers and other relatives during what are inevitably highly emotive proceedings and gives clear guidance and advice to help you understand the process. Katie will make every effort to reduce acrimony and resolve issues in a pragmatic and cost-effective way so that you can move forward and focus on yours and your family’s needs.

Katie has forged strong links with local domestic abuse support services, is a member of Resolution and has been a member of the Dorset Family Justice Board. Katie is a member of The Law Society’s Advanced Family Panel.

Katie received a nomination for “Lawyer of the Year” in the Dorset Legal Awards.

Role

Katie assists families with all areas of relationship breakdown. Katie primarily focuses on child-related matters and helps both parents and wider family members. Katie has a great deal of experience, either where the family is unable to agree amongst themselves, or where the Local Authority or Children’s Services are involved. If an agreement cannot be reached, Katie can represent and support you through all aspects of the Court process to ensure the best possible outcome.

Outside Interests

Katie spends most of her time away from the office enjoying the outdoors with her young family. She is a keen open water swimmer at any time of the year and loves a snowy swim in the sea.
