Letchers Solicitors are seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, self-motivated and experienced legal secretary to join our busy Private Client Department to provide secretarial assistance in connection with Probate and Estate Administration, Wills, LPA’s, Court of Protection and Elderly Client administration.
We aim to provide our clients with a very high standard of service and therefore, the ideal candidate will need to have exceptional client care and communication skills and be capable of producing a high volume of accurate work, demonstrating excellent attention to detail. Spelling and grammatical proficiency is a must.
We are looking for an individual who can work well as part of a team and can remain calm under the pressures of a demanding role. IT literacy and competence at audio-typing are essential, and all candidates need to be familiar with digital dictation and the use of a case management system as this will form a key part of the role.
Previous secretarial experience is preferred, together with experience of working within a Private Client environment would be a tremendous benefit. A positive attitude, flexibility (and a sense of humour!) will also be very desirable attributes.
The role will involve typing dictation (letters, forms, lengthy documents), filing and other office administrative tasks, answering telephone calls, sometimes attending clients and supporting the Fee Earners in the management of files.

The role will principally involve working with Ianthe Slinger, Lauren Cooney and Cath Porter, who predominately support clients in connection with Divorce and the financial aspects of separation. The nature of the work undertaken within the department is diverse, engaging and rewarding and this is a fabulous opportunity for someone looking to become an integral member of a supportive and dynamic team.
